First of all the last date for SBI Clerk 2020 is 26th January 2020. So if you haven’t done registration yet then do online registration first.
Selection Process For SBI Clerk 2020
Now if you have applied online already then you should know how State Bank of india selects candidates for the clerk post.
All the candidates who registered theirseleves needs to go through the same pattern. Every candidate have to face total 2 examination.
- SBI Clerk Prelims Exam
SBI Clerk Mains Exam
So First of all candidates need to face Prelim examination. To appear in the SBI Clerk Prelim Exam you have to achieve the exam call letter from the official website. The call letters of the prelim examination will be available on the portal from 11th February 2020.
After the exam, SBI recruitment board will publish the result of prelims. If you have achieved more marks then the cutoff then you are selected for mains exam.
Then, If you successfully clear the prelims exam you will be selected for further process. All the candidates who clears prelims exam are now qualified for the sbi clerk mains exam.
Candidates also have to Achieve the call letter for the mains which will be available in the second week of APRIL month.
If you have cleared prelims exam only then your call letter of sbi clerk mains exam 2020 will be available to Achieve.
After that State bank of india will release the result of mains examination. if candidate has achieved passing marks or more than cutoff marks, he or she is selected for the junior associate post.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2020
The Exam pttern of both exams are different. The Prelims exam contains 3 subject and mains exam contains 4 subjects. The structure of the both examination is also different.
The Main Purpose of prelims is to evaluate the general intelligence of the candidates. where the purpose of mains is to get the idea that the candidate is having subject based of filed based knowledge and have general idea about the job they are applying.
By conducting both examination the employer (SBI in this case) will know that is candidate really eligible for the post or not. So this exam pattern to select the candidate for junior associate post is perfect in most of the ways.
Prelim Exam Is to evaluate the general eligibility therefore the exam pattern includes English Language test, Numerical Ability & Reasoning Ability Test.
SBI Clerk Prelim Exam Pattern
Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test OR for aggregate score. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.
The Mains Exam is to evaluate weather the candidate has knowledge about the field or not. also, the candidate can do the job perfectly or not. Therefore the test includes General / Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude as a subject.
