Covid 19 Vaccination will start from 1st May in Gujarat 2021

The Gujarat government has emphasized on vaccination to control the transition at a time when corona cases are increasing at a rocketspeed in Gujarat.

State government has decided to do free vaccination for the citizens of age 18 to 45 from upcoming 1st May 2021.

To successfully execute this campaign gujarat government has already placed the order of 1.5 crore vaccine doses for gujarat.

State government has notified to execute this vaccination process at taluka-district level with proper planning.

Rajya sarkar has order 1 crore doses of covishield from serum institute of india and 50 lakh doses of covaccine from bharat biotech of hyderabad. Health workers and frontline workers have been vaccinated from 6 thousand government and private vaccination centers in gujarat. Till the date total 1 crore and 13 lakh people have been provided with vaccine in the state.

To prevent the transition of corona virus the vaccine is the only weapon we have and government has taken the initiative to provide vaccine to 1 lakh people daily.

From the date 28th April, people of 18 to 45 years age can register at COWIN portal for vaccination

18 to 45 year olds will not be vaccinated without registration

Currently 45 years olds are getting vaccinated in india. In this situation, people of age 18 to 45 years are going to get vaccinated from 1st May 2021. However, if a person between the ages of 18 and 45 is to be vaccinated, he / she has to first register on the government portal. Only after the registration they will be vaccinated.

However this registration rule does not apply to the people of age 45+ years. This rule only applies to citizens between the ages of 18 and 45.

This decision has been taken so that a large number of people do not waste time getting vaccinated at the same time.

Currently 45 years olds can get vaccine for free at the vaccination centers but The state government will have to decide whether to take charge from 18 to 45 years olds.
